The entire Estonian sea area A1 is covered by Tallinn Radio’s 12 VHF relay stations. Tallinn Radio keeps a 24 h listening watch on VHF channels 16 (156.800 MHz) and 70 (DSC 156.525 MHz).
Channel 69 is designated for use by the State Fleet and for the transmission of weather forecasts and navigational warnings.


There is a duplex working channel at every relay station for public correspondence.

Navtex messages are transmitted on frequency 518 kHz to cover the Navtex U area of the Baltic Sea. Terrestrial telex messages from the Swedish Maritime Administration are relayed via Suurupi transmission station to the Baltic area:
