Pilotage For pleasure craft pilotage in Estonian waters is not compulsory, but is available.
Eesti Loots AS provides pilotage in Estonian waters. The sea area is divided into six pilotage areas:
- Tallinn
- Kunda – Loksa
- Paldiski
- Väinamere (West-Estonian Archipelago)
- Pärnu
- Sillamäe
Orders for Pilotage Services:
On arrival should be placed 24 hours before Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA) at the pilot boarding point or, if the passage is shorter, after departure from the last port. A confirmation should be made 6 hours prior to ETA at the pilot boarding point and a final ETA confirmation at pilot boarding should be made 2 hours before ETA.
On departure should be placed 4 hours before Estimated Time of Departure (ETD) and confirmed 1 hour before ETD.
