Estonian waters are served by the coastal radio station “Tallinn Radio".

The entire Estonian sea area A1 is covered by Tallinn Radio’s 12 VHF relay stations.
Channel 16 - for transmitting distress signals and as a calling channel, transmitting messages of the safety of navigation and rescue communication.
Channel 70 - for automatic distress calls in compliance with the GMDSS requirements and as a DSC (digital selective calling) channel.
Channel 69 is designated for use by the State Fleet and for the transmission of weather forecasts, storm warnings and navigational warnings.
There is a duplex working channel (1, 3, 20, 26, 27) at every relay station.

NAVTEX
Navtex messages are transmitted on frequency 518 kHz to cover the Navtex U area of the Baltic Sea.
